I Downloaded Skype - What's Next?

So you have installed the Skype app and on re-booting your PC it has started up and you are now ready to start chatting to your family,  friends and buddies - but how?  Well you have a number of options,  your Skype ID and your name will identify you on the Skype database and your ID is unique to you nobody has the same one and that is there for the best way to find anyone.   To enable the Search is accessed via the Contacts Menu on the top of the Console and from there you select "Add a Contact" which brings up a floating panel with a number of options; e-mail, phone number, full name and Skype name.  Using any or all of those will produce a "result" and present what the search has found in the Skype database,  or a "Name not found" requiring you to modify your search term.

As well as searching the Skype database yourself you can also inform people of your Skype ID (the name you created when you registered), kenneth.j.mcpherson,  which is mine and follows the convention required by Skype - i.e. no odd characters.  Add it to your profile on the Social Sites and places where you spend time online and that will help people to find you.

Make sure your profile features your most up to date information and is relevant to the niche you are aiming to dominate.
